Thanks for the LP, and the 24 bit download “to compress at my leisure”. I thought to burn a cdr, and needed to convert to 16 bit, which I did. I also thought to fix a few glitches in Sound Forge while I’m at it, but the files are behaving very strangely indeed. I get hitherto unseen pop-ups refusing to let me make any changes made (although I have made some changes previously). The program has also started chucking away added, and previously saved metadata, which is most bizarre. SF8 has been a stable, daily piece of kit for nigh on 10 years. Do you have any clues as to what the trouble might be due to?
